This year the web based teaching materials have tripled. I login in to 15-20 resources a day and all require a password. Thankfully, Chrome saves most of them in memory. For the ones it can’t save I have to recall and type in from memory. It is a daunting task without a strategy. Some people write their passwords in a notebook they carry around. Others go on pure memory. The latter can leave you stranded based on my experience.
I have developed a few strategies. I suppose the best is to keep a spreadsheet synced in Dropbox so you have access anywhere. Another might be to give all your services the same password. I tried this one for a while but found that different services are picky about how often you must change your password and what sorts of special characters and lengths they require. This makes a uniform password impossible. Plus, even if you could it could be argued that this had vulnerabilities. The debacle rages on. How do you keep track of yours?
