To Celebrate a Great Lady

Sarah has planned so many amazing things for our family, I couldn’t compete. There is one event she planned for me on my 40th I would love to do for her someday.

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “RSVP.” Plan the ultimate celebration for the person you’re closest to, and tell us about it. Where is it? Who’s there? What’s served? What happens?

The ultimate celebration I’d like to plan would be for my wife Sarah. She plans everything for our family so it would be high time I planned for her. I think I’d reserve the back room at the Spaghetti Factory since we’ve used it before. I’d have everybody in like her parents and her sister’s family. I’d invite all her friends I could get a hold of. She, like me, has friends woven in and out of time through the years.

We’d take turns sharing about why Sarah is special. I’d be tempted to do a roast but that certainly wouldn’t be appropriate. I want to build her up  not put her down. Finally, we’d enjoy some great food, she would open her presents and the party would end. We’d drive home happy, hopefully her the most happy. Yeah, something like that I could probably pull off.
