A blurb on Negativity
September 14th, 2007 by SarahI have never enjoyed hanging around negative people. Y’know the ones that complain about everything, and never see the light at the end of the tunnel. Luckily I married a man who is just the opposite. He sees something positive in just about everything. Though this has periodically bugged me, in the end it has always been the best approach. Lately however I feel as if I am turning into one of “those” people. I see injustice in everything, I complain constantly, and stories that have nothing to do with me in the slightest have started to invoke anger from me.
In fact, almost every word out of my mouth turns negative. If you could see my list of draft blogs that have been started as a rant and never posted you would see what I am talking about. Unfortunately for the people around me I can’t hit the delete button and take back the complaints pouring out of my mouth. I am not completely sure how to get back on a track where I can see how blessed I am in every scenario, but I hope it happens before I alienate everyone around me. I am even negative about my negativity, lol, the cycle is never ending.

It happens to all of us. Try not to beat yourself up for it. I think the fact that you recognize it says alot about how you want to change it. That’s how I am anyway.

Chin up girl! You’re in a funk. Have you been watching too much news? That will do it for me especially if there’s a high profile subject or person that is not uplifting. I say take a deep breath, live in the moment, and purposely pause at the beauty around you, and in you. These are some great ways to get positive. Really, an attitude is reflection of the storm or sun we are experiencing inwardly.
Blessings as you refresh, refuel, and regroup among your party of 5!

Can you email me your email address? I would like to pass on a forward that I know will lift your spirits about building what you can’t see. Simply beautiful!

Carrie & Rosemarie: Thank You ladies. We have the news on in the background often, but I think you nailed it, I am in a funk and need to just surround myself with more positive things, and stop perceiving neutral events as negative.

I am the same way. I especially cannot say anything positive while I’m driving. We should really do an anger management class. :)
