The Nonblog Meme
September 13th, 2007 by SarahHubby tagged me to participate in a meme where I list three items I enjoy more than blogging. I hope it goes without saying that I always enjoy spending time with my family, so this list will be comprised of the items I enjoy in sparse moments of “me time”.
- Paper Crafts: Including scrapbooking, card making, stamping, and making general paper gifts like calenders, mini albums etc. (mother’s day gift made by me)

- Going to the beach or the lake: I LOVE camping!

- Dates with Hubby: We average about two per year, so I definitely look forward to them.

Runner up’s since the top 3 are apparently supposed to be non-computer related :)
- Photoshop: The more I learn about this software the more addicting it gets. I just learned how to perform cosmetic surgery on a photo. It is amazing!
- Literati: Every once in awhile I can sneak in a round or two of this Scrabble-like yahoo game. I’m really good if anyone ever wants to challenge me to a round :)
Now here are the rules if you want to play along:
- After your intro, copy/paste this line and the rules below it: The originator wants to see how far it goes so please keep his link intact: http://rileycentral.net
- Encourage people to post with the incentive of a link by including those who have passed it along here:
(Your link here and so on . . .) - Visit at least 3 on the list who’ve written and passed this meme. Leave them a comment.
I have never tagged anyone so if you see your name on the list and would rather not participate, that is totally understandable. Otherwise I would love to hear what types of non-blogging events are catching your eye.

Very nice answers PO5. I enjoy photoshop a little, but not as much as you. probably because I am not as good at it! Thanks for always answering my questions!

Ah, you got me! I will think on this one. I can relate to your two dates a year. That’s about how we do it too!

I can so relate to the 2 dates a year thing! Those a re beautiful cards! I love the patterns you’ve picked! Stripes and dots are one of my favorite combos!
We live right by Lake Michigan and I like to go to the beach and sit on the sand, but I find the lake just a little too gunky for my tastes to swim in. It is fun, though…like a mini vacation!
Do you just play with the Photoshop tutorials on the web or do you take classes?

Rock Chick: Thanks, I made this set for my mom, she loved it so much she doesn’t want to use the cards, lol. As far as photoshop goes, I used to look up tutorials online, but needed a couple of elective units so I took a class. The class taught the basics I really needed to truly understand the tools. Knowing more about the multiple uses of the tools makes following tutorials easier. Now I discover some stuff of my own, or peak at a tutorial and add my own thing to it.
Rosemarie & Carrie: Thanks, I can’t wait to see your list :)

I finally got around to posting my non-blog answers :)

Hi Sarah!
I just discovered your tag yesterday when I went into Technorati to see if my site was screaming up the ranks with a bullet. Alas, it isn’t, but that was when I found you’d tagged me.
Jessica the Rock Chick tagged me for this one too. I’ve written it and will post it tomorrow.
Thanks for thinking of me.
Is everything ok? You haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been having difficulty too. Long hours working and shorter days usually sends me to bed before 9pm. I hope you’re happy and enjoying this beautiful season.

It’s later in the day and walla-tada the tag is done!

Harlekwin: Sorry I have been MIA, just very busy with a less than entertaining composition course, an impending state exam, and 3 busy bee’s. You would think that would make for plenty of blogging content, however I keep coming up dry. I’ll stop by to check out your meme, thanks for participating.
